would love to hear about how to get some Shibi action.

I second Doc's motion for shibi

I'd sign up for that.  The shibi has still eluded me  :(

Has AH ever thought about having AHU BBQ.  Everyone can talk and share experiences, techniques, beer, food, etc....

Just a thought.  I'll even bring the first case of beer if we get at least 10 people to get together.  Heck I'll bring the first case if we get 5.  Everyone would just have to agree on a place.  I would really enjoy meeting everyone.

Yeah, the east side of the big island would be most convenient  ;)

Would be sweet to have another class too  :o

How about targeting shibi?

Good idea Scooter! I'm always ready for a BBQ at the beach! Even if it's not for a class.

I don't mind going anyplace, but the winter surf season is here and it should be a good one with the El Nino conditions. Maybe non stop swells all winter.  ;D

How about someplace facing south so that guys can launch early, come back and do the clean up, then BBQ?

right on west side... I just posted in oahu after talking with ike... this first one we going to run at haleiwa but maybe the next one we will shoot for south side.. going to get this all planned better for the future as we intend to do 4 clean ups a year... one for all the shores.. maybe if the surf is to big for kayak fishing we can start the day with body womp training at wiamea ;D

hope to see you there regardless because it not all about the fishing..

Good idea on the quarterly clean ups Boogie! Our beaches need it for sure! Saw your post right after I did mine so we must have been typing at the same time. Maybe I'll catch a few waves at Alii or Puena then join you guys for the clean up. Gotta check the schedule as it gets closer.

I finally got my sail furling rig set up so maybe a sailing lesson in the am if your not too busy or the surf is not too big?
