Yama's

Is opening back up very soon at the same location in Kona off Ali'i drive...Old memories at that place as I lived close by as a grom and only had a couple bucks here and there to spend at my first fishing store.

I used to frequent Yama's 30 years ago when I lived Honalo.

It's open...stocked lightly but with everything and some really great looking flies for every type of fishing..i like the opai flies i might have to sample next time i go whipping.
Jim Rizzuto wrote about Yama's in his weekly fishing report the link to it http://www.fishinghawaiioffshore.com/
POSTED 09/14/09 THE HOME OF KONA FISHING kinda cool article since alot of memories i've had there and now the son is keeping the tradition going....i'm defiantly going to support Yama's before Wal-mart not just for keeping the small business going but also cause they like to talk about fishing, are very knowledge-able and don't mind sharing information..shoots-Selecta

Just read the article. I'm so glad it is back up and running and not have to knock on the door and wait to see if anyone stay around. :)
I'll make it a definite stop the next time I hit Kona.
just stoked to be out there.
