Knowing when to turn around + testing your gear. (video)

There's a lesson here.

"LoletaEric June 09, 2010 The ocean was too rough to fish outside, and nothing was biting inside. So I made the most of my morning by swamping my boat for the purpose of assessing my flotation. The two dozen pool noodles and 4 crab floats inside my hull definitely keep my boat floating with me on it even when swamped, and that's a good thing"

just stoked to be out there.

Well thought out video. Right on. A lot of the blurbs posted across the screen are excellent words of wisdom. Particularly 'experience only requires participation' or something along those lines.

I've been hesitating to store anything in the bow hatch specifically because of the swamping issue. Maybe I'll go out and actually try it w/o gear on my boat and see what happens.
Studies say 60% of the time it works every time.
