FLOAT PLAN
« on: February 04, 2011, 02:56:16 PM »
This hasn't been discussed in a long time, but it's SO important. Everyone - Please be sure to have a Float Plan. It looks like we're going to have a fairly large turnout for the Makahiki this year and we want everyone as safe as can be. We've attached a pdf of a float plan that you can use or adapt for yourself.
Aloha,
Da AQUAHUNTERS Crew

*Thanks Chucko for the heads up on this important topic.

cool thanks guys.. its very important to let people know what your doing, where your going, and whne you will be back.. you dont want to go solo and not tell any body.. i just watched the story of the man who had to cut off his own arm to live.. he went hiking into a remote wilderness area and didnt tell anyone and didnt have any comunications... dont be that guy....

I'll laminate one of them so I can re-use it instead of cutting down trees :)
That's the best way. Fill out the parts that won't change then laminate it and write on top w/a sharpie pen. Can erase w/Cutex nail polish remover when you need to.

Bumping this topic again because of the recent problems with missing kayakers and unmanned kayaks being found...and with the Makahiki starting up this week.  Be safe everyone.
