Hi Tofu,

The middle pic's a small taape.   ;D It just went inside the pocket after I unhooked it.

The day started with me finishing up bait tube in the morning.  My plans later in the day got cancelled so since with free time, wanted to test it out so decided to give it a go.  Got ice, snacks, and drinks.  Hey, the water looks good despite it being in late morning.  Caught bait and put couple of ‘em in.  About one hour in… I started to feel nauseous – puked… the aftertaste tasted like wat I just ate… wen check – $h!t!!! Food's past expired date.

***Note to self – always check expiry date.

Lucky for me, the current was to shore so aligned my rudder to where I like go and just lie down holding bait pole.  Drifting to shore, was lucky to get fishes for mm straight n some dinner (nabetas, & goats).

The bait tube works awesome, when I took fishes out, they were alive and kicking strong – just got to find a better solution to eliminate the banging while in drift mode.

cnr (papio, moana, awaawa, nunu, hagi) – 31
Total - 178

Day 7 - friend lost a battle with a marlin.  He was sore n tired so helped tow him back to shore.  Hope the weke ula sashimi made you feel a bit better.  LOL.  Next time, Bowe.

cnr hagis: 14 pt.

Day 8 - a part of my sail broke and I lost either an ono or kaku.  My mistake was that either I wear my gloves while trolling or hand line with bare hands.  Lost fish when the swivel was close to the tip and the line went slack while I was hurrying to put on gloves.  Darn it!

By that time, I definitely was out of shape to be kayaking two days straight. Decided to head back n lick my wounds.

cnr moana & hagi: 15

Total: 207

P.S. Just found out how tasty the opelus are.  Ate them raw on the kayak out of curiosity.

Tried a new spot... all I caught was pain, sunburn, and couple of goats.  Lol... Man, you guys that routinely catch pelagic get my mad respect.  Kayak fishing for pelagics is tough...

cnr goats = 16
total = 223
