Day 21:  9th took me to some deeper water today that produced a 22.4# Ono.  He found himself a nice mahi out there too.

Previous total 220 + Day twenty-one Ono 40 and Aha 10 = 270 total through and including day 21.

Day 22  Bait biting good this morning but little to fish it due to early arrival of north wind.
Previous total 270 + two Opelu CNR 4 = 274 through and including day 22.

Day 23:  Except for one, the Kawelea had a fun day destroying my hand-tied Damashi rigs.

Day 22 running total  [274] + Day 23 Kawelea [5] = 279 through and including day 23.

Similar or slightly better than a kaku Smitty.  Also similar looking slightly-gray white flesh.  Not as good eating as the Ono and Mahi that you target.  Unique low wind and low wave day yesterday on north shore.  The kawelea were thick, attacking my damashi rigs directly and my opelu before I could land them.  Had to be some pelagics around but I did not manage to hook one.
