Rough day finding bait but action was good when we had the bait.

Roman Day 3:
10lb kawa = 20pts
20lb shibi = 40pts
Total: 60pts

Rob Day 8:
aha = 10pts
8lb mahi = 10pts
Total: 20pts

392pts (old total) + 60pts + 20pts = 472pts

Thanks guys!  Roman was cleaning up out there yesterday.  I have a feeling that if he landed 15-20 baits, he would've sank his kayak with pelagics before noon...lol

The wind and chop was almost constant and there was a strong current working with the wind pushing us around 2mph southwest all morning.  We still managed to score a few baits between the both of us and get some action.

Rob's day 9 total:
30+lb ulua = 25pts
hage cnr = 7pts
Rob' day 9 total: 32pts

Roman's day 4 total:
10+lb kawakawa = 20pts
3 ta'ape = 3pts
Roman's day 4 total: 23pts

472pts (old team total) + 55pts (today's total) = 527 pts

Took me nearly 6 hours to find one piece of bait on Monday.  I took 'em out to the deep side of the ledge just to feed another bait stealing aha.  Started looking for more bait and hit a pile for three more as conditions started to get really dicey.  I fish some pretty extreme conditions at times and as much as I wanted to stay, it just made sense to go in.

2x moano cnr = 16pts
old team total: 527pts
new team total: 543pts

I'm going out on another solo mission tomorrow, 6/29/2016.

The ocean was slightly bumpy and the winds were mild.  I usually get good action on days like that if I can get enough bait to feed the pelagics.  I found a small pile and was able stay over them enough to pick up 9 pieces at sunrise.  When I got to the ledge I picked up the smaller shibi as mostly ahas were smashing my baits.  I paddled out a little deeper and came across a bait pile that was getting destroyed.  Within minutes both rods ran and one shibi stuck.  I dropped another bait trying to stay around the insanity that was going on below me.  Before I could bait my second rod, my other reel starting screaming for my 3rd shibi.  Always nice to make it a short day and eat my lunch on land.

Rob's day 11 total:
2x 15+lb shibi = 60pts
1x 10+lb shibi = 20pts
Three of a kind = 15pts
Total = 95pts

New team total:
543pts + 95pts = 638pts

Thanks Justin!

Winds was really wild yesterday.  As I was loading the gear up, I was thinking of backing out.  The winds were nuts pushing out at around 20+mph with some possible 30+ gusts.  As the sun started to light the sky, The winds backed down and the ocean began to glass out giving me the confidence to launch.  I found a few baits in one of my usual spots and went for the ledge.  As I baited my rods the winds started to pick up.  It was a heluva paddle into the offshore winds just to keep the baits trolling slow behind me.  I had a double strike but neither stuck.  I used my last bait and shortly after pulled up this guy.

Rob's day 12:
15+shibi = 30pts
moano cnr = 8pts
total: 38pts

New team total:
638pts + 38pts = 676pts
