Tandem beginner kayak recommendation
« on: May 30, 2016, 01:26:26 PM »
Hey guys, my name is Derek. I've been lurking for probably over a year.  Anyways, i grew up in Makakiko and ended up joining the military.  That was over 10 years ago. As a kid i fished, dived, kayak dived, and of course bodyboarded. Well now the military decided to be nice and send me back home for a few years butnot without a catch, i will have to spend 15 months in Turkey without my family. Lucky for them they get to go back home while I'm there. I have a wife and 2 boys who are about to turn 3 and 5.

So on to the question. I am thinking of picking up a couple tandem kayaks while i am in the mainland as i figure they might be cheaper out here. I want to get tandems so that i can bring the wife and kids out. I would like to use them for cruising, fishing and diving. It would also be nice if they were easy to control when going solo. I have a discount with Ocean Kayak also.  What do you guys recommend?
